Wapakoneta third in Auglaize Co. Open

MINSTER — The Wapakoneta boys golf team continued a busy opening week with a third-place finish in the Auglaize County Open.
The tournament was held at Arrowhead Golf Course in Minster (par 72). The host Wildcats tok first place with 330. St. Marys was second with 337, followed by Wapakoneta with 340.
Also in the field were New Knoxville (392), New Bremen (407) and Waynesfield-Goshen (431).
Minster's Grant Voisard shot 76 to win medalist honors. The Redskins' Drew Zwiebel (77) and Dylan Timmerman (79) were second and third, respectively.
Coach Mike Brown of Wapakoneta said, "It was a decent team score for us today, but just not good enough. We will keep working at it, and see what we can do to improve."
Besides those mentioned, other scores for Wapakoneta were Jon Hefner with 91, Clay Wilsey with 93, Tim Bruns with 95, and Gabe Bogan with a 105.
For Waynesfield-Goshen, Gauge Rumer had 95, and Hyatt Kaufman shot 96. Other scores were Mason Boggs (118), Gavin Schneider (122) and Cooper Roberts (139).
