Tiger squads get split of tourney consolation games

The Waynesfield-Goshen girls bounced back with a win in the consolation game of the “Border Battle” Holiday Tournament, defeating Ada 44-25.
The Lady Tigers have won four of their last five games, and are now 4-6 overall on the season.
Waynesfield-Goshen was paced by Kayla Wicker with 11 points, and Jaelyn Shultz with nine on Saturday.

The boys consolation game of the “Border Battle” involved the same two schools, with the opposite result.
Ada defended its home court with a 61-44 win over Waynesfield-Goshen on Saturday.
The Tigers are 1-8 on the season.
Hyatt Kaufman had nine points and Layton Campbell scored eight for Waynesfield-Goshen.
Coach Josh Hollar said, “We hurt ourselves with turnovers. We’ve just got to get better and show up. Just need to regroup and find ourselves again.”
