Servant's Day is Saturday

“Servants Day organizers thank our volunteers for being Christ’s hands and his compassion on Servants Day,” coordinator Rachel Barber said, as she reminded local residents and volunteers that Servants Day will be held in and around Wapakoneta on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organized by the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association, Servants Day is an opportunity for volunteers to help repair the homes of those in need in the Wapakoneta area. Typical jobs include painting, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, and yardwork; applications for assistance were collected in August.

It was nine years ago that several area ministers got together to plan the service project now known as Servant’s Day.
