Home against the Rangers, Wapakoneta came out to play.
The Redskins used good shooting from long range to record a 59-42 win over New Knoxville in nonleague boys basketball on Tuesday.
Wapakoneta improves to 4-8 on the year, and halted a four-game losing streak.
The Redskins built a seven-point halftime lead thanks largely to a variety of players hitting from 3-point range. Eight of the team's nine baskets came from beyond the arc. They had 12 three-pointers for the game.
After an even third quarter, Wapakoneta put the game out of reach in the fourth, holding the Rangers to just seven points.
Trey Ware led the offense with 19 for Wapakoneta. Garrett Siefring had 11, and Reed Merricle and Kaden Siefring each finished with nine.
