The Wapakoneta Redskins spoiled the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans' plans for a Western Buckeye League title celebration in front of their home crowd.

The Redskins prevailed with a 39-36 win Thursday over the state-ranked Titans, who entered the game with an opportunity to clinch the WBL title outright with a win.

Ottawa-Glandorf, the fifth-ranked team in Division II, can still clinch the league title outright with a win over Elida in its WBL finale.

With 6-2 league records, Wapakoneta and Bath are tied for second place after Thursday's action. If the Titans lose against Elida (5-16, 1-7), Wapakoneta and Bath can claim a share of the WBL title with wins in their respective season finales.

Lexi Jacobs and Maddi Stiles each scored 10 to lead Wapakoneta. The Titans' Kylie White paced all scorers with 14. Kadie Hempfling added 10 for O-G.
