Redskins take second at LIberty-Benton invitational

FINDLAY — The Wapakoneta boys golf team earned second place at the Liberty-Benton Invitational as they opened their season.
The event was held Monday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course (par 72), with a total of 12 schools participating.
The host Eagles finished first with a team score of 317. The Redskins had 357 for second, with Kenton taking third with 368.
Arlington was fourth (385) and Lima Central Catholic (389) rounded out the top five.
From there it was Maumee Valley Country Day (390), Miller City (391), Otsego (400), Bluffton (401), Van Buren (418), Allen East (425) and Bath (428).
Seth Lasiter of Liberty-Benton was the individual medalist with a score of 78. His teammates Luke Sunderman and Michael Kotey tied for second at 79.
Drew Zweibel of Wapakoneta shot 80 to take fourth place. Noah Brand of Liberty-Benton and Rocco Longbrake of Kenton each had 81 to tie for fifth place.
