Staying focused in a long season can be a challenge.
Wapakoneta kept its focus and played one of its most complete games of the year, dominating Celina in a 58-34 win on Friday.
The victory put the Redskins at 2-5 in the Western Buckeye League and 6-12 overall.
"This was probably our most disciplined game of the year," said Wapakoneta coach Doug Davis. "We emphasized being focused, and taking care of business."
He added that the defense played well the whole game, and the offense shot well and showed patience.
Junior Garrett Siefring led the Redskins' scoring with 20 points, while senior Trey Ware had 15 and senior Reed Merricle put in 11. All but one of the players who saw court time contributed offensively.
For Celina (2-5 WBL, 2-16 overall), Josh Rasawehr had 11 points and Ethan Wilson scored seven.
