Like the rain falling outside, Shawnee just kept coming.
Wapakoneta kept up with the visiting Indians for a couple quarters, but the tribe from the north eventually took charge on their way to a 59-43 victory in Western Buckeye League play on Friday.
The Redskins kept Shawnee in check in the first quarter, and were down by only nine at the half. But Shawnee doubled the Redskins' output in the third, and played even in the fourth.
Noah Ambos had 15 points and Trey Ware scored 14 for the Redskins. They are now 3-7 overall and 0-3 in WBL contests.
Shawnee remains undefeated, going to 11-0 on the year, and 3-0 in league play. Providing the bulk of the scoring were George Mangas with 22, John Barker with 14 and Tyson Elwer with 13.
