Redskins blank Celina, stay atop league

The Wapakoneta Redskins remained atop the Western Buckeye League standings with a 4-0 win Tuesday against the Celina Bulldogs.

With the win, Wapakoneta stayed undefeated and improved its WBL record to 6-0 with two-thirds of the league season complete.

The Redskins will face second-place Defiance at home Friday.

Megan Fisher struck out 10 in a three-hit shutout Tuesday for Wapakoneta (15-0).

Sierra Sammons, Blasia Moyler and Lexi Jacobs each had two hits for the Redskins.

Haley McGillvary had all three of Celina's hits.
