Divisional alignments for all sports plus regional assignments for football will have to be revised.

The Ohio High School Athletic Assoiation Board of Directors voted Thursday morning to reverse a previous decision that included students who attend community schools and STEM schools toward a public school district's enrollment.

The OHSAA uses schools' enrollment numbers to separate teams into tournament divisions for competitive balance purposes. The board's ruling Thursday removes community and STEM school students from a public school district's enrollment numbers.

In June, the board approved tournament divisions for all fall sports and basketball as well as regional assignments for football for the 2015-16 school year. The OHSAA said the fall sports divisions will be revised "as soon as possible," while winter and spring sports divisions will be announced "in the near future."
