Museum board opts to end director's contract

The Armstrong Air & Space Museum Association has exercised the option to cancel its employment contract with Director Christopher Burton and will begin its search for a new museum director in mid-September.

Joe Lenhart, president of the association’s board of directors, said Burton’s contract expires at the end of this year. The contract includes a clause that allows either Burton or the board to end the contract with a 60-day notice. Lenhart said the board has opted to terminate the contract; the 60-day notice period ends Sept. 20.
