Miller receives Rotary's vocational award

They call her “Mrs. Donation.”

Jackie Hager has earned that name by giving — donation by donation. She’s well known in Wapakoneta as the go-to person at Miller’s Textile Service when a club or high school sports team or any other fundraising cause has a need for some donated linens to dress up their event.

That generosity is just the tip of the iceberg why Hager became the latest winner of the Wapakoneta Rotary Club’s Vocational Service Award, a recognition given to a community leader who exemplifies outstanding personal achievement through his or her vocation.

“You are making our community a better place,” Josh Little, Rotary Club president, told Jackie Hager. Hager's nomination included work and service to her church as well as many and varied dontions she's made to the community.

Linen rental is the larger part of the local business, Bob Hager, Jackie’s son and president of the local company, told the Rotary Club; uniform rental is the other part of the business. He is proud of Miller’s 72-year heritage in Wapakoneta.
