A little bling has taken local woman a long way

Sarah Kelsey believes she is living proof you can make a living doing whatever you want to do.

Rhinestone Lipgloss is her business; she’s a woman who gave up a corporate salary complete with benefits to, as she says, “glue rhinestones onto earrings.”

With $85 in seed money – and that’s all – she bought a vendor’s license, some Swarovski crystals and set to work creating what is now a earring jewelry business that last year, she said, cleared six figures.

Kelsey was one of 115 or so vendors at the Rustic Barn Market, held Friday and Saturday at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds. She said her friend and fellow vendor, Betsy Selover, convinced her to be a part of the first-time event.
