It was a fight to the finish — and what a finish it was.
Wapakoneta powered its way to a 45-41 win against Elida in Western Buckeye League girls basketball action on Thursday.
The teams were separated by just a few points all game long, and needed overtime to settle matters after being tied at 38. The Lady Redskins dominated in extra time, scoring seven points before Elida made a shot as time expired.

Senior Makenzie Wilson led the Lady Redskins with 13 points on the night, and junior Casey Minnig had 10. Saunders had nine to nearly make it three in double figures.
