These "kats" were underfoot all night.
The Wapakoneta girls basketball team saw its season come to a close on Wednesday, as they fell to Sylvania Northview 64-40 in the first round of the Division I sectional tournament at Lake.
The big difference was Northview's ability to pressure the Lady Redskins into a number of turnovers and prevent offensive flow for much of the night.
Wapakoneta closes the 2019-20 campaign with a record of 10-13 overall.
The Lady Redskins started out well, taking a small lead in the first quarter. But the Ladykats responded with a volley of three-pointers and surged ahead.
Northview maintained the lead in the second quarter and was up by 13 at the break. Wapakoneta continued to battle but the lead would inch up in Northview's favor as the contest went along.
Senior Makenzie Wilson had 10 points and junior Casey Minnig scored nine to lead Wapakoneta.
