ASHLAND — This bay proved a bit too deep.
Wapakoneta saw its season finally come to an end on Saturday, with a 4-0 loss to Bay in the Region 6 championship of the Division II girls soccer tournament.
It was the furthest the program has gone in the postseason, besting by one round last season when they reached the regional semifinals.
The Lady Rockets got an early goal, then scored three times in the second half to get the win and advance to the state semifinals.
The Lady Redskins finish with a record of 12-5-2 on the year. They were tied for fourth in the WBL with a record of 5-3-1.
