Kevin Bittinger tribute

Kevin Bittinger, a 24-year-old senior airman in the U.S. Air Force who died May 4 in South Korea, returned home and was laid to rest Wednesday afternoon at Greenlawn Cemetery. His coffin was led by the Ohio Patriot Guard both Tuesday when he arrived back in Wapakoneta and when he was heading to his final resting place.
Bittinger was a 2009 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, and a member of Harvest Baptist Church. He joined the U.S Air Force shortly after graduation. He was born Sept. 24, 1990, in St. Marys, the son of Thomas D. & Cindy R. (Jaeger) Bittinger, who survive in Wapakoneta. While in school, he participated in track and cross country.
Bittinger served in the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
