Job Fair helpful for area employers

Auglaize County has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state–currently just 3 percent as of last month according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services–which has made for a tough environment for short-staffed employers.

But on Wednesday, Moon City Music and Event Center offered them a little boost.

The Wapakoneta event space hosted their first ever Job Fair, giving both companies and job-seekers a chance to get face time with one another.

Noah Lee, a Wapakoneta native and soon-to-be college graduate, attended Wednesday's event in hopes of getting some of his ducks in a row before he gets his diploma.

"I'm about to finish up with my marketing degree at Ohio Northern University," Lee said. "I'm just looking to try and find a job for after I graduate school."
