The Botkins Trojans were already in command of their tournament game when their quest for a win became easier, as the Fairlawn Jets' leading scorer Audrey Francis left the game with an apparent knee injury midway through the second quarter.

The Trojans were winning 25-12 when Francis was injured and they kept rolling to a 65-29 win Wednesday in a high school girls basketball Division IV sectional semifinal at Sidney High School.

Botkins' Sarah Bergman finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds in 21 minutes, giving her two straight double-doubles after a 24-14 effort Saturday against Ansonia.

The Trojans’ “reward” for their win Wednesday is a meeting with fellow Shelby County Athletic League foe and defending Division IV state champion Fort Loramie. The two teams will play at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in a sectional final at Sidney High School.
