Congressional hopeful takes fight to Jordan

Janet Garrett spent 35 years as a teacher and served for 20 years as a member of her teacher’s union executive council. During those years she found that up to half of her students lived in poverty and she was never comfortable with that statistic.

“I looked at the kind of representation that Jim Jordan doesn’t do,” she said, when asked why she was taking on Ohio’s Fourth District congressman. “We have serious issues here that go unaddressed because he’s in Washington promoting gridlock.”
