City says: Pratt reports case of coronavirus

Staff Writer

Good morning Wapakoneta!
The City has received word from Pratt Industries that one of their employees has tested positive for the Coronavirus. The man infected is a truck driver for them and developed symptoms earlier this week. This happened after Pratt had already taken all of the steps outlined by the Governor as far as social distancing, taking temperatures of all employees etc. It is Pratt's belief that this worker had only been in contact with one other employee. That employee has been sent home under self quarantine for two weeks.
The City would like to publicly thank Pratt for taking the precautionary steps that they have. Because of those steps, they have most certainly avoided an outbreak of the virus in Wapakoneta.
As of yesterday there have been no confirmed cases in Auglaize County. Thank you to everyone who are doing what we have been ordered to do! It will pay off for all of us in the long run. God Bless and stay safe!
