Board of Elections holds required tests

The Auglaize County Board of Elections met in special session Wednesday top pay their bills and test their equipment.

Board members approved $23,145 vouchers, the bulk of which renewed its hardware and firmware licenses. Of the total, $990 will pay for registered election official class registrations.

After the meeting, board members took the opportunity to test the accuracy of the department’s model 650 ballot counter, DS200 machines and Unity tabulator for three randomly selected townships.
Wednesday’s test counts as the board’s public test, which is required by law to occur before an election.
