The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office was called to the east side of Cridersville Tuesday, at approximately 6:45 p.m, in response to a call regarding a deceased male.
Deputies responded to the 17000 block of National Road after the deceased male was found in the house by a friend. The name of the deceased was not released, pending notification to all family members.
The sheriff’s office reported there were no signs of forced entry at the residence; according to a news release deputies are “investigating the death as it would any other.”
The coroner's office was called to the scene. BCI was also at the location. The deceased individual was taken to the Lucas County Coroner's office for an autopsy to be performed.
"Every death is treated as suspicious until such time as it is determined otherwise,” Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said.
The death remains under investigation.
