Armstrong Museum hires new director

2019 will be an exciting time for the Armstrong Air and Space Museum.

The new year will bring with it a brand new STEM classroom, currently under construction, and plenty of excitement surrounding the 50th Anniversary of Wapakoneta native Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon.

It will also bring a new executive director.

During their Thursday meeting, the Armstrong Air and Space Museum Association officially hired Dante M. Centuori to take over the position beginning January 7, 2019.

Centuori heads to Auglaize County will a long list of accolades and experience. He most recently spent time at the Great Lakes Science Center of Cleveland (GLSC), where he served as the liaison to the NASA Glenn Research Center, helping to develop exhibits and programs for the Research Center's Visitor Center at GLSC. He also held the positions of Scientist in Residence, Director of Creative Productions, and Director of Education and Outreach at GLSC.
