2019 Committee ready to debut collectible items

With the local debut of the movie “First Man” set for Thursday in Wapakoneta, the 2019 Committee is planning a debut of its own.

On the heels of the First Man Premiere Gala is the unveiling of the first group of collectible items commissioned by the committee to not only provide a keepsake of the celebration but also as a fund-raiser for the committee.

“The gala itself was planned as a fund raiser for the 2019 committee,” said Judie Presar, co-chairman of the premiere party. “We wanted to not only provide an experience for those attending — a memorable event to see the movie in the home town of Neil Armstrong, but to also raise funds for the many things the 2019 Committee has planned through the rest of this year and into 2019.”
