Drew Wayman captured an individual title Wednesday, as the Wapakoneta Redskins senior shot a 74 to lead all players in the Auglaize County Open.

Wayman and the Redskins placed third out of six teams with a 360 team score Wednesday in their second straight tournament in as many days at Arrowhead Golf Club in Minster.

“He was solid all day today,” Wapakoneta coach Kenny Wayman said Wednesday about his son, Drew. “He battled a few holes that his drive got away from him but battled back mentally and ended up with a very good round.”

Wayman’s round included three birdies, 10 pars and five bogies.

The remaining Redskins all shot in the nineties.

Jared Miller carded a 93, Nick Bruns shot a 96, while Logan Miller posted a 97 for Wapakoneta’s fourth score.
