Wapakoneta shuts out Fort Jennings, 3-0

The Wapakoneta Redskins grabbed their second straight win Monday with a 3-0 victory over the Fort Jennings Musketeers in a non-league varsity girls soccer contest in Fort Jennings.

The Redskins emerged from a scoreless first half to post three second-half goals, as Kylee Dahman scored on a pass from Dana Bodine, Mackenzie Custer notched her third goal of the season from Lilli Schaub and Brittany Pequignot scored on an assist from Sara Warner.

Mikayla Halfhill recorded the shutout Monday, rejecting nine shots on goal by Fort Jennings.

Wapak will resume its schedule at 7 p.m. Thursday in a non-league game against Delphos St. John’s.
