The Wapakoneta Redskins made their second straight appearance in the Associated Press poll, a weekly ranking of the top Ohio high school football teams as voted upon by media members.

The Redskins (7-1) were tied for 18th in Division III on Monday, receiving 17 points along with Tipp City Tippecanoe (8-0).

Teams receiving at least 12 points appear in the poll after the voting.

Wapak first appeared in the poll Oct. 14 when it was ranked 16th in Division III.

Though the Redskins dropped two spots in Monday’s rankings, they did receive two more points than when they first appeared in the poll.

Wapak has won six consecutive games after a 1-1 start this season, which included a Week 2 loss to Kenton, the No. 1 team in Division IV.
