The Wapakoneta Redskins won their second straight match Friday with a 217-238 win over the Bellefontaine Chieftains in varsity girls golf action at Wapakoneta Country Club.
Wapak's Shelby Kohler was the match medalist with a 47.
Finishing the scoring for Wapak were Sierra Sammons (56), Zoe Rayburn (56) and Haley Kinstle (58).
Bellefontaine's Chelsea McLaughlin led with a 49.
Sarah Hall (53), Kathleen Coakley (63) and Allie Shelley (68) concluded Bellefontaine's scoring.
Wapak's team score Friday was their highest for a nine-hole event this season.
"The weather was beautiful today, but the golf course conditions were extremely tough. Wapak Country Club has a tournament tomorrow morning and the greens have been double-cut with very tough pins set today," Wapak varsity coach Dawn West said. "It was very tough to hold the greens with approach shots and made putting and chipping extremely difficult.
"It was an up and down day for all the ladies, Bellefontaine included. A win is a win. It may not have looked pretty but we were able to get the job done."
The Redskins will return to action with a match against Shawnee at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
