Walk for hunger

October 7, 2013

Wapakoneta area residents walk during the 9th annual CROP Walk in Wapakoneta to help the hungry around the world. Proceeds from the event also helps the two food pantries in Wapakoneta — God’s Storehouse and Mercy Unlimited. Rainy morning skies gave way to sun and clouds during the Sunday afternoon walk.

Draped around the necks of approximately 50 people walking in the 9th annual CROP Walk in Wapakoneta was the picture of a person and on the back was the story of their life.
“It is the person who will benefit from my walking in the CROP Walk for the Church World Service,” the Rev. Adrian Sunday said as he walks along the newly reconstructed East Auglaize Street.
For more information about the CROP Walk, see the Monday, Oct. 7 edition of the Wapakoneta Daily News.
