W-G board hires 30 as two resign

WAYNESFIELD — The Waynesfield-Goshen Board of Education approved the employment of more than 30 classified substitutes and accepted the resignation of two staff members at a regular board meeting Monday night.

Bus driver Larry Beers will resign effective Jan. 1, 2015, due to his retirement. Upon accepting his resignation, the board offered a statement regarding Beers’ service to the district.

“We greatly appreciate Larry’s long service to our district, over 32 years, and for all of the extra work as On-Board Instructor (OBI),” the statement said. “Larry was always conscientious and contributed greatly to the transportation program in many ways. We wish Larry all of the best in his retirement.”

Also resigning is elementary art and guided reading teacher Stephanie Kiefer. Her resignation was effective Aug. 11.
