The Wapakoneta Redskins boys and girls track teams both won in a tri-meet against Waynesfield-Goshen and St. Henry on Tuesday at Harmon Field.
St. Henry finished second in the boys meet and Waynesfield-Goshen was second for the girls.
For the boys, Wapak’s Ryan Kremer won the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.4 seconds.
Kevin Kraft placed first in the 100 dash at 12.1.
W-G’s team of Cody Baker, Eli O’Leary, Matt Spillman and James Elliot won the 800 relay in 1:40.5.
Wapak won the 400 relay with Josh Windle, Kraft, Kaleb Huffman and Brandon Christler turning in a 46.0.
Christler took the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.5.
Wapak’s Caleb Hennon claimed the top spot in the 800 run at 2:08.7.
Ryan Kremer, of Wapak, high jumped 5-foot-10 for the win in that event.
Kyle Gibson gave Wapak another win in the long jump with an 18-1.25.
W-G’s Joliffe Huber placed first in both the shot put (45-2.5) and the discus (139-11).
For the girls, Wapak’s team of Caiti Markley, Claudia Grumblis, Syndi Turner and Summer Griner won the 3,200 relay with a time of 11:37.0.
Griner took the top spot in the 1,600 run at 6:11.7.
W-G’s Ivy Horn won the 100 hurdles (16.8), 200 dash (26.9) and long jump (16-1).
Twin sister Morgan won the 100 dash (12.9), 300 hurdles (49.3) and pole vault (10.6).
The Horns then joined Kennedy Rumer and Sierra Williams to win the 1,600 relay.
The 800 relay went to Wapak’s Sydney Miller, Annie Henderson, Sara Warner and Michelle Mosler with a time of 1:55.6.
Miller, Henderson and Warner then teamed up with Kylee Dahman to win the 400 relay in 56.6.
Mosler finished first in the 400 dash (1:05.4).
Wapak’s Jessica Plaugher claimed the 3,200 run with a 14:23.8.
Megan Hayzlett won the high jump for Wapak, clearing 5-2.View more articles in:
