Sylvia Haggard, 95

Sylvia Haggard, 95, of Lima, died at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Logan County, to Edith (Moots) and Ollie McKee. On June 21, 1938, she married Donald Haggard, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1987.
Surviving are three sons, Jackson “Jack” (Mary Jo) Haggard, of Waynesfield, Ralph (Mary) Haggard, of Lima, and Charles “Charlie” (Sue) Haggard, of Waynesfield; a daughter, Evelyn (Robert “Ozzie”) Osborne, of Lima; two sisters, Maxine Watkins, of Marysville, and Grace Brockman, of Imperial Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Berniece Dearduff; and two step-brothers, Robert “Bob” Walters and Harold Walters.
Sylvia was a member of the New Hampshire Methodist Church and worked at Heartland of Indian Lake as a nurse’s aid, but she had spent most of her life working alongside her husband on their family farm and raising their children.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Armentrout Funeral Home in Waynesfield, with the Rev. Jean Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
