Sheriff's Office investigates burglary in Buckland

Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office law enforcement officers are investigating a burglary that took place at about 3:03 a.m. this morning in Buckland after law enforcement officers were alerted to a possible crime by a passer-by.
Information available at press time said that a suspect had broken into Trupointe Cooperative Inc., 101 N. Main St..
Deputies responded to the agricultural complex along with Wapakoneta police Lt. Joe Welker and the K-9 and troopers with the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
"While checking the building, an unknown subject fled out of the business and was chased by officers," a news release said. "He was lost in an area west of Trupointe."
The suspect had not been apprehended as of yet this morning.
Approximately 15 minutes later while searching the area, deputies found a subject in a vehicle close to the scene. The motorist was taken into custody and is currently being questioned.
No information was yet available on what may have been taken from the premises.
The matter remains under investigation.
Sheriff Al Solomon urges residents to call when they see something out of the ordinary as in this case.
"A passer-by saw something, called and we were able to catch someone," Solomon said.
