A. Ruth Rolston, 93

A. Ruth Rolston, 93, of Waynesfield, went home to be with the Lord at 7:16 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in Auglaize Acres Nursing Home. She was born July 19, 1920, in Kossuth, to the late Floyd and Lula Stiles Jacobs. On June 12, 1939, she married Glen H. Rolston, who died Nov. 17, 1982.

Mrs. Rolston was a homemaker and had worked as a process operator with Fisher Cheese. She was a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church. She had a great love for babies, enjoyed walking, reading and picking up seashells.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Kitty) Rolston, of Cridersville, and Gil (Deborah) Rolston of Wapakoneta; four daughters, Helen Mowery, of Ada, Janet Helmlinger, of Waynesfield, Peggy Rolston, of Cridersville, Deanece (Aaron) Dodds, of Lakeview; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Warren Jacobs, of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Rolston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;  a great-great grandchild; two brothers, Harlon Jacobs and Richard Jacobs; three sisters, Rosaline Whetstone, Mary Haudenshield and Luella Bell.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Donald Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, near Uniopolis. The family will receive friends from 24 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
