Ruth C. Burk, 74, of Cridersville, died Sunday morning, January 13, 2013, at her residence. She was born March 22, 1938, in Earle, Ariz., the daughter of Nellie (Andrews) and Clyde Clayton, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 26, 1956, she married Donald E. Burk, and he survives.
Other survivors include, four children, Melanie (John) Mosier, Wapakoneta, Neal (Karen) Burk, James Burk, and Allison Burk, all of Cridersville; five grandchildren, Joshua and Joel Mosier, Jenny Schroeder, Chad Schroeder and Noah Cummins; five great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Madisyn, Kiara, Conner, Mariah Mack and Cameron Schroeder; a brother, Howard (Lee) Clayton, Lima; two sisters, Donna (Larry) Linn, Magee, Ariz., and Louise Linely, Earle, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Troy, Woodrow, Jim, Herman and Andy Clayton, and a sister, Mary Resor.
A homemaker, Ruth enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses and flowers, jigsaw puzzles, word search games, bird watching in her backyard, and watching western movies.
Private services will be held for the family, with Pastor Andrew Atkins officiating. Burial will be in the Spencerville Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are being conducted by the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville.
