Rose M. Coil, 89, of Wapakoneta, formerly of Van Wert, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Spencer Township, Allen County, the daughter of Rose M. (Krebs) and Edward Schwinnen, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 19, 1949, she married Carl R. Coil, and he died Feb. 8, 1984.
Surviving are a nephew, Don (Suzanne) McGue, of Delphos; a niece, Beverly (Roger) Stoltz, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Laura (Rob) Weber, of Fort Jennings, Lisa (Gary) Siefring, of St. Henry, Lana (Matt) Mitchell, of Delphos, Jill (Derek) Dempsey, of Delphos, Patrick (Stacie) McGue, of Delphos, Michelle (Noah) Everest, of Minneapolis, Melissa (Dave) Bechhoefer, of Denver, and Maura (Tito) Hasan, of Minneapolis; a cousin, Richard (Pat) Smith; and extended family Barbara (Mike) Kinstle and family, of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Reynolds and Eulitta McGue.
A homemaker, Rose worked at Jackâ€™s Cafeteria in Lima and The Town Tavern in Landeck. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. Her hobbies included gardening and playing cards.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Long & Folk Chapel of Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 13 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial is to follow at Woodland Cemetery, in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
