Redskins notch win over Blackhawks in debut

The Wapakoneta Redskins notched a win in their first match of the 2013-14 high school bowling season Saturday.

Wapak managed a 2,485-1,905 win over the Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks in West Ohio High School Bowling Conference boys action at Plaza Lanes in Celina.

Austin Krites had the team high for the day, with a 202 in the first game. He followed that up with a 169 in the second game for a 185.5 average.

Chandler Kaeck led Wapak in the second game with a 187 and finished the match with a 183.0 average.
Also for the Redskins, Brandon Kennard had a 180-165-172.5, Nate Kaeck 141-148-144.5, Stone Schnarre 145.

Wapak won all five Baker games, totaling a 838-635 advantage, with the largest margin coming in the second, 233-138.

The Redskins will resume their season Saturday when they go to Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater to play Parkway.
