With a bit of fortune, the Wapakoneta Redskins' 4x100-meter relay team squeaked into the finals, taking the last available qualifying spot after two semifinal heats.

Cameron Lauck, Nate Elsass, Collin Lenhart and Alex Lause finished ninth out of 16 entries with a time of 43.22 seconds in the Division I high school boys track and field state meet.

After a team that finished ahead of them was disqualified, the Redskins enjoyed the smallest of margins to finish ninth, edging Massilon Washington by 4-thousandths of a second.

Wapakoneta will race in the finals at approximately 5:35 p.m. Saturday.
