This weekend was the weekend of the pool party.

As a way to celebrate, come together and have fun the Auglaize County Public District Library held its end of the summer reading program pool party Saturday evening at the Wapakoneta WaterPark and the Dance Centre held its party Sunday at the Botkins Memorial Pool, after the original pool party date was rained out.

Kristine Spyker, ACPDL youth services coordinator said the summer reading program drew more than 1,900 kids from across the county this year.

“It has gone really well, and we had 1.49 million minutes read county-wide too which is really cool,” Spyker said. “We are really happy with how everything turned out and I think the kids have had a lot of fun, and this is a perfect way to just culminate everything.”
