Peggy McKenzie, 74

Peggy Sue McKenzie 74, of Wapakoneta, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on Nov.1, 1938, in McPherson, Kan., to Zelma and Buck Jones, who preceded her in death. On Nov 2, 1956, she married Maxey McKenzie and, he survives.
Also Surviving are three children, Jeff McKenzie, Jenny (Jeff) Moon, and Janie (Gary) Hickfang; a sister, Norlene (Bernie) Cotterman; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Jones.
Peggy retired after 25 years of service from St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She especially enjoyed shopping. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and a true friend to many nice people.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Fort Amanda Cemetery.
