Paula J. “Pooh” Roy, 44

Paula J. “Pooh” Roy, 44, of Wapakoneta, went home to be with her Lord at 8:20 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, following a short battle with cancer. She was born June 3, 1969, in Lima, the daughter of John and Barbara Jean (Newland) Norman. Her mother, Barbara Jean Norman survives in Wapakoneta, and her father & step-mother, John and Mary Norman survive in Lima.
Other survivors include a son, Robert Roy, of Wapakoneta; three brothers, Greg Martin, of Findlay, Derrick (Connie) Martin, of Wapakoneta, Todd Norman, of Hattiesburg, Miss.; four sisters, Vickie McCollum, of Wapakoneta, Brenda Martin, of Wapakoneta, Shelly Doster, of New Orleans, La., Becky Frankenburger, Wabash; two grandchildren through love; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her fiancée, David Heckman; grandmother, Laura Lykins; a nephew, Josh Martin; and a cousin, Johnny Bayes.
Paula worked as a pharmacy tech at Wal-Mart, Wapakoneta. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, Auxiliary, Wapakoneta. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, state Route 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Ron Boyer officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at bayliffandeleyfh.com.
