Patsy L. Metzger, 82

Patsy L. Metzger, 82, of Lima, died at 10:54 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Jackson Center, the daughter of the late Arley and Helen Zwiebel Gross. On July 2, 1950, she married Luther E. Metzger, Sr. who died April 4, 2011.

Mrs. Metzger was a super sales representative with Avon for about 40 years, which she loved. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Lafayette and a former member of the Farm Bureau.  

 She is survived by three sons, L. Eugene (Linda) Metzger, Jr., of Portland, Ore., Kenneth L. (Janet) Metzger, of Harrod, and James E. (Daisy) Metzger, of Harrod; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren,  one step-great-grandchild; a sister, Twyla M. Hughes, of Arizona, and faithful caregiver for over two and a half years, Tracy Parks.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, in Cridersville. The Rev. Jim Webb will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery near Cridersville.

 The family will receive friends from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
