Patricia Elsass, 83

Patricia L. “Pat” Elsass, 83, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home, where she had resided since March 18, 2013.
She was born July 31, 1929, in Cambridge, the daughter of Frances (Jacobs) and Albert R. Moon, who are deceased. On Jan. 26, 1952, she married Nelson R. “Pete” Elsass, who died Sept. 16, 2005.
Surviving are three children; Michael E. (Susan) Elsass, of Wapakoneta, Beverly A. Cummins, of Wapakoneta, and Marcia Elsass, of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren, Shawn (Bonnie) Cummins, Ron Cummins, Brian (Jenn) Cummins, Andrea (Bryan Simpson) Elsass and Matt (Sarah) Elsass; seven great-grandchildren, Heather Cummins, Ciaryssa Simpson, Robert Lee, Jarrett Cummins, Alli Cummins, Noah Cummins and Shane Cummins; a brother, Russell (Betty) Moon, of Buckland; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Elsass, of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard “Dick” Moon and William “Bill” (Dory)Moon; five brothers-in-law, Ralph (Helen) Elsass, Vernon Elsass, Ray (Alvina) Elsass, Chris (Jean) Elsass, and Cliff (Millie) Elsass; and two sisters-in-law, Viola (Roland) Kantner and Mildred Elsass.
Pat was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta and the Senior Citizens; she enjoyed her camper at Twin Lakes/Lakewood Village where she volunteered as a cook and served as the Easter Bunny. She enjoyed all of the nice people and her special friends from Springfield. She loved crocheting, making many afghans and shawls to be given away. She had worked several years at Fisher Cheese Company in Wapakoneta.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, with the Rev.Mark Bauer officiating. Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta on State Route 501 and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
