For swimming and diving, Wapakoneta and Botkins boys and girls teams will each be Division II teams, with Wapak’s girls just missing the cutoff for Division I by seven girls.

In wrestling, Wapakoneta will continue to be a Division II school, for both the team and individual state tournaments.

For boys tennis, Wapakoneta will be a Division I team, sitting eight boys higher than the cutoff between Division I and Division II.

The new alignments are based on enrollment numbers for grades 9-11 that OHSAA member schools submitted to the association in October 2012.

Divisional alignments for track and field will be released at next month’s meeting.

Fall sports divisional alignments for the next two school years were announced in June.
