Murle Green, 86

Murle E. Green, 86, of Celina, died at 5:58 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born May 13, 1925, in Mercer County, the son of Gertrude (Moore) and Cassius Ford Green. On Sept. 25, 1946, he married Berniece Braun and she died March 10, 2009.
Surviving are three sons, Andrew (Peggy) Green, of Celina, Joseph (Jan) Green, of Wapakoneta, Donald (Denise) Green, of Celina; two daughters, Pamela (John) Brown, of Celina, Ann Margaret (Fred) Giesige, of Celina; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Anita Green of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Green; five brothers, Paul Green, Wayne Green, Allen Green, Chester Green, Gene Green; a sister, Mary Catherine VonGries; a grandchild; and a great-great-grandchild.
He retired from Goodyear in St. Marys after 30 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Celina.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow with full military rites at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
