Monte L. Anderson, 59

Monte L. Anderson, 59, was called into the presence of the Lord at 9:09 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. Monte was born June 13, 1954, in Celina, to Warren and Betty (Kallmeyer-Fox) Anderson. His father preceded him in death, and his mother survives in Celina.  On Sept. 21, 2002, he married  Diana C. (Wischmeyer) Anderson , who survives in Lima.

Monte was a 1972 graduate of Celina High School. He worked 18 years for the Pipe Fitters Union #776, Jacobs Industrial Services, the Ineos Plant and the Lima Chemical Plant. Mr. Anderson had served as a Military Policeman in the United States Army.

He is survived by a son, Joseph (Sara) Jackson, of Columbus, and a daughter, Megan P. Anderson, of Lima; three grandchildren, Jonathan Raymond Shane Jackson, Jessica Anne Jackson and Jacob Marcus Dylan Jackson;  three brothers, Scott (Denise) Anderson, of Celina, Joel (Carol Holdheide) Anderson, of Celina, Kevin (Lori) Anderson, of Cincinnati; five sisters, Pamela Anderson, of Lima, Deborah (Tom May) Anderson, of Celina, Lorraine (Tom Cole) Anderson, of Montezuma, Stephanie (Alan) Birt, of Montezuma and Lisa (Ron) Ricks, of Celina; in-laws, Daniel L. and Lola E. Wischmeyer, of Lima, and brother –in-law, Joseph D. Wischmeyer, of Lima; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Brent Anderson and Chris Anderson

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, and two hours prior to the service on Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.  Pastor Rob White will officiate.
Services will begin at 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by V.F.W. #1275 and the United States Army.

Monte will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.  His family would like to express their sincere thanks for the countless prayers and condolences.
