Marjorie Jones, 87, 902 Jackson St., St. Marys, died at 10:54 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Briarwood Manor Nursing Home in Coldwater.
She was born March 23, 1926, in Moulton, the daughter of Nora (Hines) and Grant Tester. On Sept. 1, 1946, she married Joseph Jones, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1999.
She is survived by four children, Ron J. (Carol) Jones, of New Bremen, Gregory (Pam) Jones, of St. Marys, Debra (Rees) McKee, of St. Marys, and Corrine (Dennis) Craft, of St. Marys; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Vogel, of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine siblings.
Marjorie was a 1943 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 37 years of service as an inspector.
She enjoyed making crafts, bowling, gardening, pets and dancing. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys.
Funeral rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, with the Rev. Ed Bray, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to either Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ or Briarwood Manor Nursing Home.
