Marilyn Hawk, 80

Marilyn E. Hawk, 80, of Celina, passed away Nov. 20 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Celina, to the late Hilda P. (Schoch) and Eugene C. Heckler. On June 14, 1952, she married Richard E. Hawk and he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1995.
Surviving are five sons, C. Eugene Hawk, of Sandusky, Daniel (Renee) Hawk, of Bothell, Wash, John Hawk, of Fostoria, Richard A. Hawk, of Russia, and Michael (Alberta) Hawk, of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Mary Kay (Mark) Pierce, of Mansfield, Patricia (Mike) Chappie, of Troy; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, and Patricia Hay of Celina.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Velma Jean Heckler.
She was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina and a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton. She worked as a registered nurse and still currently maintained her nursing license. She was very active in many roles within the church, school and community.
Mass of Christian Burial is to be held at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Private burial will be held at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Contributions may be made to the church, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Paulding, Mercer & Van Wert Counties, or the St. Rita School for the Deaf in Cincinnati.
