Marie E. Zink, 98

Marie E. Zink, 98, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:40 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born May 18, 1915, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Frank and Caroline (Fehringer) Zink, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two nieces, three nephews and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred “Bud” (Stella) Zink and Ray Zink, and a sister, Sister Frances Adelaide.

Marie retired from St. Rita’s Medical Center, Central Supply, in Lima. She had also worked in the offices of Dr. Hardacre, D.D.S., and Dr. Gott, D.D.S., both of Wapakoneta. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Wapakoneta, and its Resurrection Choir. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed making crafts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Wapakoneta.

The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., Saturday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, state Route 501, Wapakoneta.
